The primary purpose of a data quality analyst is to support the organisation in improving the quality of its data by performing advanced data profiling analysis to understand it’s origination, definition, lineage, ownership and any associated business rules. The analyst will support the organisation to perpetuate good data practices and governance.

Responsible for identifying, measuring, monitoring and improving the quality of HL’s critical data elements. Responsibilities achieved though collaboration with strategic change initiatives as well as co-ordinating appropriate remediation actives through the data governance framework.

Majority of colleagues are working remotely, but there is possibility to work from office which is located in Warsaw Spire.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Embed and support a culture of good data governance and quality across the organisation.
  • Investigate data quality issues to identify  the size, scale and potential impact
  • Performing data analysis to support resolution of the issues
  • Running data queries to identify coding issues, data exceptions and gaps
  • Performing statistical tests on large datasets to determine data quality and integrity
  • To identify appropriate business rules for critical data items and embed them within the data governance platform
  • Evaluating system performance and design, as well as its effect on data quality.
  • Reporting data analysis findings to data governance fora to inform decisions and prioritise remedial activity
  • Documenting processes and maintaining appropriate meta data in the data catalogue
  • Continually support improvements to data management processes

Must have:

  • Awareness of data and information management life-cycles
  • Experience of data privacy and data risk
  • Experience working with databases and Data Warehouses.
  • Experience with Data Management, Data Governance or Data Quality Technology
  • Proficiency in SQL & exceptional analytical skills
  • Very good command of Polish & English

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of financial services, investment management and associated regulation
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and analyse complex business processes and technologies to make sound recommendations to non-technical constituents
