Senior Java Backend Developer

As a Senior Java Backend Developer, you’ll be responsible for providing new features and maintaining existing solutions. You will be working on technology initiatives that require delivery of high quality, secure and resilient software, in a sustainable and predictable way.

Here are few examples of existing teams/projects:

  • Trading Platform Team supports HL’s ability to place trades, both for Fund dealing and Equity dealing, on behalf of our clients.
  • Transfers Product Team  is focused on building the solution that will help automate assets movement processes between brokers.
  • Tooling Team supports Product teams to work in “you build it, you run it mode”. You will be developing orchestration components, writing Infrastructure as a Code scripts, pipelines and working with the product teams to build reliable, resilient systems. Strong AWS knowledge is highly appreciated.

Majority of colleagues are working remotely, but there is possibility to work from office which is located in Warsaw Spire.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Writing high quality Java code
  • Working collaboratively as part of a Scrum team
  • Full ownership over developed products including architecture design, choosing technology, maintenance, contacting stakeholders and presentations
  • Actively contributing to the Scrum process (stand ups, retrospectives, etc.) and the overall output of the team
  • Mentoring team members
