We are looking for a Software Engineer to help support our dedicated, friendly and growing Trading Team to deliver critical new functionality to our clients and internal users. We are looking for someone with a front-end technical background in React, Next.js, AWS and ideally, but not essential full stack development.

Majority of colleagues are working remotely, but there is possibility to work from office which is located in Warsaw Spire.

However, all work must be performed within Poland, and remote work from abroad is not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for writing high quality code adhering to agreed team and regulatory standards as well as review of others code
  • Working collaboratively with the team to help deliver significant new features for the business
  • Providing engineering support for existing applications when necessary
  • Ensuring existing and newly developed solutions are reliable, secure, performant and maintainable
  • Maintaining awareness of current secure coding practices and ensuring code produced is in line with these
  • Responsible for developing and evidencing automated tests alongside code produced
  • Responsible for documenting all solutions, produced to agreed team standards
  • Demonstrating a willingness to learn technologies & techniques embraced by the development team
  • Cultivate strong working relationships both within working squad and in HL as a whole
  • Actively participating in working groups and communities of practice designed to support the development team
  • Continually developing both technical and interpersonal skills

Must have:

  • 3+ years of solid commercial experience
  • Very good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript
  • Working knowledge of React, Next.js (preferably SEO solutions)
  • Experience with AWS or Netlify
  • Hands-on experience with design patterns, programming and testing best practices
  • Have a mindset of continuous improvement in everything you do
  • Comfortable working in a Scrum/Agile team
  • Developing secure & maintainable code

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Node.js, REST
  • Experience in working with Docker, Kubernetes using microservices architecture
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
